  • Bannister & Bowen's & Long Wharves have a zillion little stores - you need to stroll around
  • Spring Street has some wonderful boutique shops - check out shops near the corner of Church St
  • Newport Restoration Foundation Museum Store at 415 Thames has really neat stuff - In 1968 Doris Duke started the foundation which saved 18th century houses (Newport has 320-330 surviving, the most anywhere in the US)
  • Bellevue Ave on both side of Memorial - some new shops (near Newport Fed Bank) and some good oldies by Tennis Hall of Fame
  • Upper Thames and Lower Thames - gee, just check out Thames St including hand-blown glass ornaments at Thames Glass
  • Wag Nation on Williams St focuses on our furry friends
  • Newport Sweet Shoppe, just around the corner
  • Fudge or Salt Water Taffy at Newport Fudgery has two locations on Thames
  • Breakell Jewlery at 132 Spring is a Newport must
  • For the feet - Sole Desire at 131 Swinburne Row (part of Brick Market Place)
  • Spices at Newport Spice Co (24 Franklin St off lower Thames) or olive oil at Virgin & Aged (395 Thames) 
  • Armory on Thames is awesome with tons of antiques & interesting nautical stuff
  • Nutcracker Suite on Mill St, just off Thames past Starbucks
  • Cottage & Garden at 9 Bridge St has wonderful gifts for inside the home and out
  • Beach House at 42 W Main Rd in Middletown
  • St Paul's Thrift Shop (326 Broadway) and D Kelley Fine Used Books (330 Broadway) offer great finds
  • Our all-time favorite is a Gift Certificate for the Beech Tree Inn or Admiral Sims' House!!  Merry Christmas :)
